Digital species identification
The digital species identification team is building services that support the development and deployment of AI algorithms which detect and identify species from a wide variety of digital media such as sound, images, and radar.
Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming better at recognizing species. Various users, from everyday citizens to ecologists, want to automate the identification of species. All of us sometimes wonder what kind of bug or plant we are viewing. Ecologists want to go further and also understand which bug eats what plants and how they eat it. A wide variety of sensors are used to detect, identify, and track animals in diverse environments. Our team is building the tools and services to speed up and scale the development and deployment of the AI algorithms at the center of species recognition.
